NTAP CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY
This year marks NTAP's 20th year as an affiliate of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). In lieu of our regular March membership business meeting, a celebration luncheon was held at the Summit II on March 19, 2008 to commemorate this special occasion. Guest speaker was Beth Nellis, NALA Region IV Director from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

NTAP AWARDS PARALEGAL OF THE YEAR FOR 2007
Mona Hart Tucker, CP, was honored as NTAP's Paralegal of the Year for 2007. Mona is a Certified Paralegal and is employed at Nix, Patterson & Roach, LLP in Daingerfield, Texas.

CHARITIES FOR 2008
Every year, NTAP is involved in providing assistance to local charitable organizations within the community. This year, NTAP has chosen to support the "Caring & Sharing" ministry established by the Alpine Church of Christ and the Pine Tree Church of Christ, as well as Mrs. Moore's 4th Grade Class at South Ward Elementary. Additionally, NTAP will carry on the tradition of collecting and providing stuffed animals to the Rainbow Room during the Christmas holidays. AUGUST MEETING
Join us this month for 1 hour of CLE. Special guest speaker this month is Attorney Michael Smith of Siebman, Reynolds, Burg, Phillips & Smith, LLP of Marshall, Texas. Mr. Smith will discuss patent litigation and provide an update on federal rules, practice and procedure. Lunch is $5 and this month's menu will consist of chicken with angel hair pasta, homemade bread, and sour cream pound cake provided by our Hospitality Committee.
